This sketch plots all the musical artists played on the Marketplace radio show arranging them as a network graph by artist similarity data from Last.FM. It then runs through the high, low, open, close data for the Dow Jones Industrial Average, keeping track of a 14 day moving average of the close. Days where the close was above average are 'in the black' while days where the close was below average are red. Artists that were played on that day are colored accordingly. You can mouse over an artist node to light up its lable. Once the animation is finished, you can replay it or choose a new start date.
